It is important to focus on recovery and wellness after suffering a stroke. You must create a space in your mind to heal instead of focusing on your illness. Tips on staying healthy after a stroke include:

 

  1. Reduce or eliminate salt intake
  2. Modify your home to prevent accidents so that it is safe to move around
  3. Stop smoking
  4. Healthy lifestyle changes such as increased physical activity and a balanced diet
