Rahul Bhardwaj, MD

Dr.  Rahul Bhardwaj earned his medical degree from Government Medical College, Amritsar. Post completion of his medical school he went on to do his Internal Medicine residency at Mt. Sinai Hospital, Chicago and Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at Rosalind Franklin University of Medical Sciences, North Chicago. During his final year he served as a chief fellow and helped with managing both clinical and academic aspects of his fellowship.

During his fellowship he had publications and poster presentations on various cardiac conditions, such as: hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and stress-induced cardiomyopathy also known as “broken-heart syndrome”. He is board certified by American Board of Internal Medicine, and in non-invasive testing by National Board of Echocardiography and Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology. His focus as a non-invasive cardiologist is primary and secondary prevention, with the goal to keep his patients out of the hospital and allow them to live a healthy and meaningful life. Dr. Bhardwaj understands how various cardiac conditions can be very overwhelming and therefore it is important that management be individualized to each patient.

Dr. Bhardwaj comes to serve the Jacksonville area with his wife, who is pursing further training in hematology/oncology at a nearby hospital. During his time off he likes watching movies, exercising, and trying different cuisines of the world.
