We are excited to have Dr. Paul Madaj join our electrophysiology team at First Coast Cardiovascular Institute. He started in August and came to us from New York where he just received his fellowship in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at Mount Sinai Morningside- West.
Prior to his time at Mount Sinai, Doctor Madaj received his medical degree from Poznan University of Medical Sciences in Poznan, Poland. He completed his General Surgery Residency at Harbor UCLA Medical Center and his Internal Medicine Residency at St. Mary Medical Center University of California. He then spent a year at SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn, New York as the Chief Resident of Internal Medicine Residency, and finally completed his Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at SUNY.
Dr. Madaj holds six active medical licenses in the states of Florida, California, New York, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.
Dr. Madaj’s wife, Magdalena, is a hospitalist. They have two sons: Christian, age 6 and Jonathan, age 4. They became familiar with Jacksonville while they were doing locum work in Tifton, GA.
When not working, Dr. Madaj enjoys basketball, tennis, chess, swimming, playing the guitar, politics, and keeping up with current events.
