Dr. Cox Shines a Light on PAH for American Heart Month

American Heart Month is just wrapping up, but your cardiovascular health should be a concern all year long. Dr. Marcus Cox recently sat down with the team at First Coast Living to share information about pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH).

Although PAH is a rare condition, it can be fatal if left untreated. It is most common in women around the age of 45, and often occurs alongside other illnesses such as lupus and rheumatoid arthritis. As with any condition, it is important to know your body, understand your family history and potential risk factors, and get regular check-ups for optimal heart health.

If you have any questions about PAH or other heart diseases, give us a call at 904-282-7271.
