Donna Geiger, APRN, CWON

Donna Geiger, MSN, FNP-BC, CWON has over thirty-six years’ experience as a Registered Nurse, having served the Jacksonville community for the last eight years in an acute care facility. Donna, a Georgia native, graduated with her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and Registered Nurse (RN) license from 1980-2000. In 2005, she completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Armstrong Atlantic State University (AASU) in Savannah, Georgia. She later attended Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia in 2006 where she completed her certification as a Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurse (WOCN). In 2016, she completed her Masters of Science in Nursing with a focus in Family Nurse Practitioner (MSN, FNP) from Chamberlain College of Nursing.

Donna is a member of the Georgia Nurses Association (GNA), Wound, Ostomy and Continence Society (WOCN), American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and Northeast Florida Nurse Practitioners (NEFLNP). She maintains her licensure in both Florida and Georgia.

Donna has received scholarships from the WOCN Society, Sage, and UF Health Jacksonville for her research in “Implementation of the Wound Treatment Associate Program in the ICU to Reduce Pressure Ulcers”, which has afforded her the opportunity to present podium and poster presentations at multiple conferences.

Outside of work, Donna enjoys spending time with her family, painting, biking and playing softball. Donna’s passion and ambition as a Nurse Practitioner is what motivated her to join the First Coast Cardiovascular Institute team. She is excited to work with providers whose desire is to deliver quality patient care while providing positive patient outcomes.
