Americans Forgoing Healthcare Due to Costs

iStock Healthcare Costs - font 2 blogEveryone wants to stay happy and healthy. However, rising healthcare costs may deter patients from seeking the care they need. According to a survey conducted by Princeton Survey Research Associates International, 25% of Americans have neglected their medical care, or know someone who has, due to the costs. Furthermore, the same study found that 56% of Americans worry that they may not be able to afford quality healthcare.

At First Coast Cardiovascular Institute & Jacksonville Clinic, we strive to provide all of our patients with quality medical care at lower out-of-pocket costs. “High quality care doesn’t always have to equal high cost,” says FCCI’s president, Dr. Yazan Khatib. “The entire FCCI staff is aligned on one goal – making sure our patients are served in a knowledgeable, compassionate manner where every little need is met.” For these reasons, we operate as an independent practice to ensure that quality patient care remains the priority of everything we do.

We have two outpatient cath labs conveniently located in Duval and Putnam Counties where patients can go to have various tests and procedures done. These state-of-the-art facilities drastically reduce the cost of treatment for our patients. Along with our outpatient cath labs, we also have offices located in Duval, Clay, St. Johns, and Putnam Counties, saving our patients travel time and money so they can visit their doctor at a location that is convenient for them.

In addition, our practice offers a variety of sub-specialties to our cardiovascular services including pulmonology, sleep medicine, wound care, and primary care, making FCCI and Jacksonville Clinic your one-stop-shop for all of your healthcare needs.
