Dr. Jacob grew up in Lubbock, Texas where he attended Texas Tech University. He attended medical school at The American Univ. of The Caribbean. Dr. Jacob completed his internship & residency in internal medicine and his general cardiology fellowship at University of Kansas Medical Center. His final year of training in interventional cardiology fellowship was completed in 2002 at Iowa Heart, PA.
Dr. Jacob then moved to Plano and joined a private cardiology group in July 2002. From 2003 to 2008 he ran a part-time solo outreach clinic in Mount Pleasant, Texas. He eventually made a difficult decision to move his practice full time in Plano to be closer to his children as they were getting into more school and recreational activities. Dr. Jacob continues to provide care to a large number of patients from Mt. Pleasant who are still willing to drive over 250 miles round trip. He now works for First Coast Cardiovascular Institute part-time, as he continues to also provide care for patients in Plano.
His patients realize his passion and commitment to their medical care and they enjoy his calm demeanor as well as his vast knowledge and experience when it comes to treating simple to complex patients.
His experience and knowledge base allows him to take care of patients with chest pain, palpitations, CHF, various arrhythmias including life threatening arrhythmias, patients with peripheral arterial disease, and valvular heart disease.
Dr. Jacob strongly believes in prevention. He is certified in Age Management Medicine and understands that a multidisciplinary approach is a must in treating patients. He has a great bedside manner and relates well to his patients.
